He adjusted me and made most of the pain go right then, he recommended a treatment plan which involved me visiting twice a week for a few weeks and then once I was stable, the visits became less frequent to the point where I now go for maintenance every 3 months or so. I actually feel better than I have for years and it’s so comforting to know that I have someone in Cornwall who knows what they are doing, has fixed me and can keep me on track. I was honestly lost as to what I could do next and don’t know how I’d have carried on working or even just sitting on the sofa! If it weren’t in the middle of covid I’d have driven up to Oxford to get help, but I’m not even sure I’d have been able to drive that far or sit in a car for that long. I could barely sleep due to pain and when I did sleep it was broken and of poor quality. I was constantly nauseous so eating was a daily struggle. I was forced by my mind and body to just lay down. I spent years stuck in bed and unable to leave the house except on rare occasions. All of this along with lots of repressed trauma made me completely miserable. After my first adjustment I noticed pretty much instant relief and a reduction in pain. I felt relaxed and finally had a decent sleep for the first time in years! (Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, acupuncture, etc., plus an awful lot of medication) I run two businesses, one of which (Bespoke florist) has me standing for long periods and lifting heavy buckets and the other (holiday rentals) which has me sitting at a computer for long periods. However, earlier this year, I was waiting to have major reconstructive surgery on my right foot which would mean no weight bearing for at least 8 weeks – I really didn’t want to postpone the operation as I’d been waiting for it for a very long time and was struggling to walk. However, my left side, from the waist down, was in so much pain and so weak that I knew I wouldn’t be able to walk on crutches standing only on my left hand side. My pelvic area was so painful and my left hip so completely useless, that I couldn’t manage stairs and even getting into the shower was problematic as I had to step in with the bad foot and then drag my left foot over the lip as I couldn’t lift the left leg at all. I couldn’t bend down without being in agony and struggling to get back up again, and I can’t kneel as I have two knee replacements! I was going weekly to my usual chiropractic clinic, but for once it just wasn’t helping and as the op date galloped closer (only six weeks to go), I was deeply concerned that I would have to be in a wheelchair, and none of our doors are wide enough to push one through! I was getting desperate. then I saw the advert for Heath Advantage – and made the call. It took a good few sessions for the magic to take hold, but without The Health Advantage I would have been virtually bedridden after the op. After only a few sessions we came to Mother’s day – one of the busiest periods of my year – and I survived it, easily!! I am a musician and for the last 8 years have been unable to play due to an issue with my hand. The issue was so bad that I struggled to use a pen, hold cutlery, even drive, it was debilitating..... Onto the couch and after a test and treatment with a pen that went click (no pain didn’t feel a thing) I was more sceptical than ever. BUT I slept without pain for the next three nights and obviously carried on with the treatment and apart from a niggle of arthritis in my knees now and again I am back to pain free living. The Health Advantage examined me and straight away found that my hip was out of line, the ligaments had been badly stretched which was causing me pain in my back and knees.
